This itinerary will include Ancient and Modern places both such as Varanasi, Old Delhi and Khajuraho will be the most ancient. These cities are the most diverse and fascinating cities of India. Mughals and Maharajas built the world’s best architectures such as Qutub Minar in Delhi (World’s Longest Sand Stone Minaret) Red Fort in Delhi and Agra, Amber Fort and other beautiful monuments in Jaipur. In Varanasi, you will see the religious and spiritualism view and in Khajuraho you will visit world famous Erotic Hindu Temples. Here how you will see our recommended eight days which is different than Golden Triangle program because in this itinerary you will see Varanasi and Khajuraho. Day 1st. | Delhi

Your warm welcome to India. Nice India Travel representative will receive you at the airport and assist you to the hotel by booked vehicle. Representative will discuss about entire tour program and basic things to prepare during trip in India after reach in the hotel. After check-in, stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 2nd | Delhi – Varanasi

After early morning breakfast in the hotel, you will move to the domestic airport and departure for Varanasi which take 1 hour from Delhi. Varanasi was formerly known as Kashi and Banaras. This is one of the oldest living city in the world and situated on the western bank of river Ganga. After arrival in Varanasi first you will proceed for Sarnath which is one of the four most Buddhist pilgrimage and first Buddha preaching place. You can see here ruined monuments, Ashoka pillar, and Dhameka Stupa which was built by 3rd Maurya emperor Ashoka in BC 3rd century. Next of this Sarnath museum is situated which is one of the oldest among the all Indian museums. In the evening, you can enjoy Aarti Pooja which is also the main highlight of Varanasi. Group of priests do the worship of lord Shiva, River Ganga, Agni (fire), and whole universe at Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Day 3rd | Varanasi – Khajuraho

In the next early morning, you can see the sunrise and bathing people during the boating in Ganga River. This is one of the oldest culture followed by the locals and pilgrimage on the bank of river Ganga. After come back to the hotel and have breakfast and then move to the airport and departure for Khajuraho which takes around 40 minutes from Varanasi. After arrival, you will directly go to the Khajuraho sightseeing. The city of Chandels which was built by them in 10th century AD. It’s called also the city of erotic temples because there were total 85 temples in 10th century where different sex pose sculptures carved on sandstones very beautifully.

Now total 25 temples are remaining which include Eastern and Western groups of temples. Northern and Southern temples are also there but most of the part has been ruined. Kandariya Mahadev, Laxman, Vishwanath and Jagdamba Temples are the main among Western group of temples and it is also UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Eastern group of Temples are mainly dedicated to Jains. City is very clean and nearby some natural sites such as Panna National Park and some of natural water falls are interesting to visit. After all sightseeing stay overnight in Khajuraho hotel.

Day 4th | Khajuraho – Orchha – Jhansi – Agra

After morning breakfast, you will head to Orchha which is 180 Km and take around 4-5 hours by surface from Khajuraho. Orchha is also 18 Km from Jhansi and 80 Km from Tikamgarh. After arrival and then lunch in Orchha, you will go for sightseeing some of beautiful places such as Orchha fort which include Jahangir Palace and Royal Palace, Royal Chhatris, and the beautiful view of Orchha from the opposite side of river Betwa. Orchha town was founded by Bundel king Rudra Pratap Singh in 1501. After that you will go to Jhansi railway station to get the train and head to Agra. After reach stay overnight in Agra hotel.

Day 5th | Agra – Jaipur

After morning breakfast, you will go for Agra city sightseeing. Agra is home of The Taj Mahal and other beautiful and world famous buildings which was built by Mughals. After morning breakfast Agra city tour will be start and the first place and the most highlight in your Golden Triangle trip will be the Taj Mahal. This is among the seven wonders as well as UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most beautiful building in Islam. It was built by 5th emperor of Mughal called Shah Jahan in 1653 in the memory of Mum Taj.

After visit wonderful Taj Mahal, head to the Agra Fort which was main residence of Mughals till 1639, when Mughal capital shifted to Red Fort Delhi from Agra. You can also enjoy another view of the Taj Mahal from Agra fort. After lunch in Agra hotel, head to Fatehpur Sikri which is 40 Km from Agra and 200 Km from Jaipur. The city was founded by 3rd Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1569 after his military victories over Chittor and Ranthambhore and it was served as capital also from 1571-1585. After visit head to Jaipur and overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 6th | Jaipur

After early morning breakfast in Jaipur hotel, you will head to Jaipur (Formerly known as Amber) or Pink City of India which is the 10th biggest city of India and the largest in Rajasthan Sate which population is 3.1 million. The city was founded by Maharaj Jai Singh II in 1726. Amber fort, Royal Observatory or Jantar Mantar (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Hawa Mahal and the City Palace is the most iconic and beautiful buildings in the city. The main market of Jaipur is also amazing to see.

Day 7th| Jaipur – Delhi

After morning breakfast in the hotel, head to Delhi and after arrival lunch. After that you will go for sightseeing. It will begin from ancient to modern which will include New and Old Delhi. Delhi is among one of the most diverse and culturally rich city of India. It is also capital of India since 1911 and continuously inhabited city from 6th century AD. The first place will be to visit Old Delhi area which is the oldest part in Delhi. Passing through the Red Fort or Lal Qila, visit Jama Mosque which was built by Shah-Jahan in 1656.

This is the India’s biggest mosque which can hold up to 25 thousand people. Mosque has the best Indo-Islamic design which is built by red sand stones and marbles. After that you will visit the most versatile place Chandni Chowk (the main centre of Old Delhi) by rickshaw passing through the most congested streets and different markets which is also one of the highlights in Old Delhi. The Raj Ghat will be next place to visit which is Gandhi Memorial and dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi on the bank of Yamuna River, Old Delhi. There is a black marble platform which is the marks of Gandhi cremation on 31st January 1948 a day after his assassination.

After that head to the city centre of New Delhi which is India Gate, President House, Parliament buildings, and nearby government buildings. Entire area constructed by Britishers from 1911 to 1931 after shifting the capital of India from Calcutta to New Delhi.

Then head to Qutub Minar complex (A UNESCO World Heritage site) where you can see the world’s longest minaret which height is 72 meters. Also, you can see some Mughal Tombs, the first Islamic Mosque of India called Quwat-Ul-Islam and 2000 years old Iron Pillar. After visit head to Lotus Temple which is the most beautiful temple in the world for worship which built in 1985 with concrete and marbles. Also, it’s called Bahai House as well. After finish, all sightseeing proceeds for the dinner and then move to the airport for departure.
